Exam Pattern
An online, 100-question, 100-mark paper in 90 minutes with no interview: 15 marks each for Marathi and English, 30 for general knowledge and reasoning, and 40 for the post-specific technical subject.
Syllabus
The technical section follows the post: national health programmes and immunisation for Health Worker; nursing fundamentals and community health for Staff Nurse; haematology, biochemistry and microbiology for Lab Technician; pharmacology and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act for Pharmacist. General knowledge emphasises public health policy and schemes.
Salary & Posts
Pay levels run from S-6 to S-13 by post: roughly ₹35,000-42,000 for health workers and lab technicians, and ₹45,000-52,000 for staff nurses, with an additional allowance for rural postings.
Cut Off
Typical ranges out of 100: 65-80 (Open), 60-75 (OBC), 55-70 (SC) and 45-60 (ST). The 40-mark technical section decides the outcome.
How to Prepare
1. Go back to your own course
The 40 technical marks come from your diploma or degree syllabus. Rereading your old textbooks beats hunting for new ones.
2. Memorise the national health programmes
NHM, Ayushman Bharat, Janani Suraksha, the TB elimination programme and the immunisation schedule are asked reliably.
3. Track health current affairs
